The head of the investment department of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan , Sukhrob Nurullo, announced this on September 2 in an interview with the state news agency Khovar.
“The working group found acceptable South Korea’s proposal to plan the construction of a sky train on the 10.5-kilometer section of the road from the South Gate to the State Circus,” Nurullo said.
He added that the area has suitable terrain and the construction of the line will ensure road safety.
As IA Regnum reported , in March 2022, the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and the National Railway Company of South Korea signed a memorandum on the construction of a subway in Dushanbe. According to the plans, the first branch will connect the southern gates of the city (in the direction of the Khatlon region) with the area of the city circus (from Korvon to Guliston).
