Over the past two days, the Czech head of state held talks with his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Čaputová, Prime Minister Eduard Heger and the head of the Slovak Parliament Boris Kollár. Among other things, they discussed the war in Ukraine, ways to counter disinformation and closer cooperation in the defence industry.
Mr Pavel also met with representatives of the non-profit sector, paid tribute to Czechoslovakia’s founders Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and Milan Rastislav Štefánik, and paid tribute to the victims of a tragic shooting outside an LGBTQ+ venue in Bratislava and to the murdered journalist Ján Kuciak.
