More Than 41 Thousand Tajik Citizens Study in 35 Higher Educational Institutions in Developed Countries of the World

Today, more than 41 thousand of our young people study in 35 higher educational institutions in developed countries of the world; this year more than 5,000 young people went to study in foreign countries. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon noted this today during his speech on Knowledge Day at the Khatlon State Medical University of the Dangara region.

In the years before independence, the number of young people sent abroad for education could be counted on the fingers.

“Creating favorable conditions for the education and upbringing of adolescents and young people, increasing funding for the education sector, periodically increasing teachers’ salaries, increasing scholarships, including the Durakhshandagon presidential scholarships, allocating a presidential quota and other measures are clear evidence of the special attention of the Government of the country to the issue education and upbringing,” the President added.

According to the President of the country, the main goal of the state and the Government of the country in paying special attention to the field of science and education is to improve the quality of education in educational institutions and prepare the future generation of the country, taking into account modern knowledge and science, for the further socio-economic development of their homeland , the progress of the state and the protection of the borders and borders of the country of ancestors.
