Čaputová is concerned about Slovakia’s foreign policy future

In view of current surveys on voter preferences, she is concerned about Slovakia’s foreign policy future or further aid for Ukraine. This was said by Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová on Monday when she met her Czech counterpart Petr Pavel. At the same time, however, she believes in the mobilization of the democratic spectrum and the possibility of forming a government that can keep Slovakia “on the map of western civilization”. Recent polls indicate that extremist views held by certain politicians and political parties appear to be slowly gaining strength. In foreign policy, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have the same positions, when it comes to the importance of protecting the principles of the rule of law and complying with international law, says Čaputová. She also reiterated her interest in joining Pavel on his visit to Ukraine in April.
